markettiers4dc works with the Governor of Florida, and potential next Vice President of the USA Governor Charlie Crist.

In July we were approached by Say Communications to support their campaign to promote the visit of the Governor of Florida Charlie Crist.

Governor Crist is rumoured to be shortlisted to become John McCain’s running mate which could mean that by January next year there is a chance he will be the 2nd most powerful man on the planet.

One of the main target audiences for coverage were American nationals living in the UK and the US to raise awareness of Florida’s work on climate change as well as raising awareness of his running mate potential.

The target media owners were international tv channels and radio stations with CNN being our primary focus.

Coverage was secured on CNN and Sky News produced in-depth interviews and the story was covered throughout the day in news bulletins.  On Sky the story was given additional coverage during the main money show at 5pm and on the world news section throughout the night.

CNN used the interview within their main programme at 10pm including a specially commissioned piece to back up the interview.

Coverage was also secured on Newsnight, Radio 4’s Today Programme and BBC World Service but unfortunately the Governor was unable to fit them into his schedule.
